Frontier Developments has just launched Planet Zoo on PC via Steam, and to celebrate the occasion they've got a new launch trailer to get us ready for zoo management, featuring plenty of cute and cuddly animals large and small.

The game costs £34.99 ($44.99 USD / €44.99), although you can get the Deluxe Edition for £42.99 (€54.99 / $54.99) or the Deluxe Upgrade Pack for £9.99 ($11.99 / €11.99).

Planet Zoo features over 70 animals, six biomes, a day and night cycle, and more, and here's what game director Piers Jackson said:

"We're delighted to release the next entry in the Planet series. Planet Zoo is very much a labour of love for the team after two and a half years of researching animal traits and behaviours and translating that into what we think is a deep and rewarding sim game. The reception from announce to beta to launch has been wonderfully affirming, and we're all excited to see what players create."

The trailer below also reveals the East Asia theme along with adorable Giant Pandas, Chinese Pangolins, and Flamingoes, so it's worth a watch even if you're planning on getting the game.

Will you be managing your zoo?
