Psyonix has revealed some major changes that will be implemented to its Rocket League Championship Series ahead of the milestone that is its tenth season.

The revamped competition now known as the RLCS X will offer a total prize pool of over $4.5 million across the entire season. Things have changed structurally too, instead of having two shorter seasons within one year, the competition will now see a single run throughout. The RLCS X will also consist of three splits (one in Fall, Winter, and Spring) and each of these splits will feature three regional events for Europe and North America.

The season is set to commence this August and will hopefully address the issues highlighted by former competitors. Cloud 9, Mouseports, and Veloce Esports are all professional teams that have recently decided to step back from competitive Rocket League.

What do you think about these newfound changes?

Thanks, ESTNN.

"Matches often descend into violent ramming attacks and opportunistic goal poaching. It doesn't matter though; it's all fun and games."
