Rocket League developer Psyonix has teamed up with DreamHack and Twitch to provide two new major Rocket League tournaments, these taking place at DreamHack Summer in Jönköping, Sweden and DreamHack Altanta (Georgia, USA), with a combined prize fund of $100,000 USD between them.

The open tournaments will occur just after the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season 3 World Championship in LA from June 2 to 4, so there shouldn't be any shortage of Rocket League esports available.

The DreamHack Summer Rocket League Championship will be taking place in the same month, from June 17 to 18, and have open signups availabel to 32 teams in a 3v3 format. The full ruleset is yet to be announced, but you can keep up with the action in June via Twitch.

Is this a great addition to DreamHack?

"Matches often descend into violent ramming attacks and opportunistic goal poaching. It doesn't matter though; it's all fun and games."
