Rumour: Crackdown 3 still has 100% destruction

One of the main draws for Crackdown 3 is the fact that you'll be able to tear down the entire city in multiplayer, as every skyscraper, bridge, and monument can be blown up, but as the game's development went on nothing has been said about this feature for a very long time. Since cloud computing was supposed to be used for this feature, it has been speculated as the main reason for the many delays of the game, and some have suspected that it's even been removed.

We already knew that Crackdown 3 would be playable at the Xbox event X018 next month, but now the renown Microsoft insider (and developer) Klobrille has shed some more light on the issue via Twitter, writing:

"The development of CD3 is essentially the story of building two completely unique experiences. Sumo Digital - Campaign (SP offline or online Co-op for four players). Ruffian Games - Wrecking Zone multiplayer that features 100% destruction (yes, they did it)."

They also share some light on what to expect from the city in Crackdown 3, tweeting:

"The city in Crackdown 3 is huge. Not only is it over twice the size of the original Crackdown, on top it features 1,000 orbs for you to find. And since verticality is key in Crackdown, the highest tower touches the sky at 1.2 km height."

Of course, nothing about this is official, but Klobrille has been right in the past, so at least it's not the average tweeter sharing guesses and fake news.

Are you excited to jump into multiplayer if it's still 100% destructible?

"Those looking for a simple retread of 2007's Crackdown may come away satisfied but we found little here that grabbed our interest."
