Final Kombat 2020 was settled behind-closed-doors this weekend, with Dominique "SonicFox" McLean taking home the win (and a cool $40,000 grand prize) after taking down Jarrad "Ninjakilla" Gooden. The final was actually a rematch after eventual runner-up Ninjakiller initially sent SonicFox into the loser's bracket when winning their first meeting, but that wasn't the end of this particular rivalry.

Playing as his favourite DC villain, SonicFox's Joker fought his way back to a grand final rematch against Ninjakilla's Liu Kang, but in the final, which you can see right here, the Joker proved too unpredictable for the challenger.

Quite remarkably, this isn't SonicFox's first big win with the ol' Clown Prince of Crime. Back in late 2018, McLean won the IPS Season Finale 2 playing with the same villainous character in a different game, Injustice 2. There aren't many pro players who can claim that.

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It's a fine version of the game. Sadly, the controller options the Switch provides aren't great."
