Spelunky and Spelunky 2 will arrive on Switch in Summer 2021

Two of the greatest indie rogue-lites have now found a new home on the platform.

During Nintendo's Indie World show earlier, it was announced that Spelunky and Spelunky 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021.

"Stock up on ropes and get ready to explore the everchanging underground worlds of Spelunky and Spelunky2 from @mossmouth and @BlitWorks! Both games are coming to #NintendoSwitch in Summer 2021! #IndieWorld" Nintendo of America wrote on Twitter.

Spelunky is a rogue-lite game with procedurally generated elements combined with real-time side-scrolling platformer elements. It firstly came out in 2008, was then remade for Xbox 360 in 2012, and later also landed on many platforms including PS3, PS Vita, and PS4. Spelunky 2 on the other hand just launched on PS4 and PC this year in September and got a 10/10 score in our review.

It's always nice to see great games getting on more platforms and reaching more audiences.
