With a target audience totally different to that of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but with a world as open as Ancient Greece, Starlink: Battle for Atlas releases a fortnight later, on October 16. Ubisoft introduced its fantasy/sci-fi creation at last year's E3 as a modern toys-to-life alternative based on physical spacecraft with interchangeable parts tweaking the in-game vehicle.

Now, entering the final stretch before launch, we got our deeper hands-on preview with the Nintendo Switch version, which is the most special of the three console releases what with its additional, exclusive Star Fox content featuring Fox McCloud and his Arwing. Besides, there's the two new trailers below, and a couple of comprehensive picture galleries showing both the toys and the creatures inhabiting the planets in-game. Starlink lands October 16 on the hybrid system, and also on PS4 and Xbox One.

REVIEW. Written by Graham Bellars

"It's an ambitious game - part shoot 'em up space battler, part RPG-based planet explorer - and it's all wrapped up with a great story."
