With less than 48 hours remaining it looks as if the new game from Swery65, The Good Life, will fall short of its $1.5 million target on crowdfunding/investment site Fig. In fact, it's only managed one third of the target sum thus far. In the game, that's going to be available in both a cat and dog edition, Penelope will have to earn money towards paying her debt, but she won't be limited to taking photos as there will be some ways to earn money via mini-games. The first one revealed was mining, but there will also be sheep shearing as seen in the video below. It may look simple enough, but given the short time limit (5 seconds) there seems to be a Wario Ware like twist to it.

In the full game there will be other mini-games including being a bartender, delivering milk and sheep riding contests.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Swery65 at Tokyo Game Show, where he did hint that while he didn't want to consider a failure of the campaign there might be life for the game even if the funding goal isn't met.
