There's a new Pikmin coming to 3DS

Strategy game finally goes handheld.

Nintendo announced a new Pikmin for the Nintendo 3DS during today's Direct broadcast. Clearly an original game, this Pikmin that still only has a working title, is a side scrolling puzzle game where you throw your Pikmin by touching the screen.

It sounds like a straight forward enough concept and Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS will see release next year.
