Team Kaliber has cemented its place as the top team in competitive Call of Duty with another stunning major victory, following up on the success the team enjoyed at CWL Dallas last year. The win at the CWL New Orleans Open championship came at the expense of Luminosity Gaming in the finals, who were narrowly edged out by tK's tactics on the night, in what was a closely fought match. tK's Martin Chino was named as the event's overall MVP.

Team Kaliber came into the tournament on an impressive winning streak - they hadn't lost playing WWII - a streak that meant that they went into the finals with a series in hand. However, Luminosity ended tK's run with a 3-1 win, initiating a second best-of-five series. Despite the loss, Team Kaliber showed they have the nerve to bounce back from defeat and took the game to their opponents in a run of matches that will live long in the memory for those who watched it, starting with a Hard Point match on London Docks that ended 250-249, and that constantly entertained thanks to some audacious team plays.

After this closely fought but ultimately vindicating win, Team Kaliber will now look ahead to the CWL Pro League, which starts on January 23 and features 16 of the best Call of Duty teams going head to head for the biggest prizes in the sport.

"The campaign is phenomenal, and the Zombies mode is probably the best it's ever been."
