Ubisoft is switching up the format of the Rainbow Six esports program (Rainbow Six Pro League) and after a transitional season, there will now be two seasons per year from June-November and December-May respectively. Each season will be concluded by a finale where the two best teams from each region (Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and Latin America) will compete for a prize pool of $275,000. Additionally, there will be two majors each year, Six Invitational ($500,000 prize pool) in February and Six Major ($350,000 prize pool) in August. This year's Six Invitational will play out in Montreal, February 13-18 and Six Paris Major is set for an undisclosed date in August.

Schedule Sum-up for Year 2018-2019:

  • Pro League Season 7 (transition season): March-May 2018

  • Pro League Season 8: June-November 2018

  • Pro League Season 9: December 2018-May 2019

The Challenger League will see two seasons of three months each year and there will also be a bunch of minor competitions including ones at Dreamhack.
