Konami has today announced new details regarding the release of the football game based on the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament which kicks off this June.

The UEFA Euro 2016 content, will as promised, be given to existing Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 players by way of compensation after Konami botched the squad lists for this season's game, with the publisher taking several weeks to correct the situation and accurately update offline teams.

But for those players that endured a rocky start to life with PS4, it should be a nice treat getting the Euro 2016 content for free. The 24-team tournament will include most of the usual faces, although only 15 of the teams are actually fully licensed.

The content won't be available solely to existing players, newcomers can get involved too, but only on PlayStation, with Konami confirming standalone versions of the content for PS3 and PS4. This version will also include all the content from PES 2016.

The free content drop for existing players will land on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on March 24, and the standalone version for PS3 and PS4 will launch on April 21.

UEFA Euro 2016
