The gears are now in motion for the biggest tournament of the Dota 2 calendar, The International, as not only do we now know that it's coming to Canada for the first time, but Valve has also revealed that they want ideas for this year's Collector's Cache as well.

The Collector's Cache is an in-game system that grants treasure alongside the competition, getting people involved with the festivities, and it's important to note that there's a "subterranean theme" to this year's event, meaning all submissions for Dota 2 Workshop creators should align with this.

"Don't feel restricted to heroes that already have an established subterranean connection—we're interested to see how you pile up as many designs as possible. As in the past, we would like to ask artists to avoid the use of any concepts that involve human skulls, blood, and gore," Valve writes.

Anyone interested should mark submissions with the 'Collector's Cache 2018' tag when adding items to the Workshop, and you have until May 13 to get these submitted. Dota fans are also encouraged to visit the Workshop so they can vote and make their opinions known on the items.

It's not all about community creators though, as Valve's merchandising partners will also reveal some new designs for this year's merchandise, but again, if you've got ideas you can also submit a design to the Workshop with the 'Merchandise' tag.

Will you be submitting anything?
