It's been five years since Sony signed a three-game deal with the developers at Giant Sparrow, and PlayStation 3 owners got to see the first result of that with The Unfinished Swan shortly after the announcement, while PC and PS4 players got the studio's second game, What Remains of Edith Finch, three months ago. One of the reasons for the latter coming to PC as well was that Sony decided not to publish that game after all, but left that responsibility to Annapurna Interactive, which is why we're not all that surprised by today's announcement.

Giant Sparrow and Annapurna have said that What Remains of Edith Finch will be making its way to Xbox One, and we won't have to wait long to go on some crazy adventures either, as this version is set to launch on July 19. The announcement came with a new accolades trailer that shows off different parts of the game, but since a big part of the game's appeal is experiencing these sequences yourself, we advise you to not watch the trailer if you want to go in completely unspoiled. Just mark next Tuesday on your calendar instead.

Are you relieved that the game's coming to Xbox One?
