In an unexpected move, one of the largest streamers on Twitch, Felix "xQc" Lengyel joined Luminosity Gaming yesterday. The organisation used the announcement to generate hype for a following reveal that launched their Rising Stars initiative, designed to find the best "undiscovered streamers," giving them a shot to win $100,000.

xQc has been one the top streamers on Twitch for a while now, rising in success as he elevated his esports career through his time in the Overwatch League and in competitions. Since then, xQc has become a standout variety streamer, becoming known for his affinity of taking on very challenging games and beating them over the course of a few days.

Luminosity Gaming's Rising Stars programme is currently live and accepting submissions. The programme asks interested streamers to send in a highlight reel for a chance to be selected for the regular competition. Selected competitors will then go through a series of votes over several weeks until a victor is selected, and the prize pool is distributed.

If you think you have what it takes, you can apply to be a Rising Star here.
