Good news for fans of superhero animations, as DC comics has announced that Warner Bros Animation has begun production on Young Justice season three.

"The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us," said Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series. "We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series."

The series was cancelled after the first two series back in 2013 even though it was quite popular among viewers, with the poor sales of tie-in toys cited as a major reason behind that, since it was anticipated that the series would boost sales in that regard.

Producers Brandon Vietti, who has worked on projects like Batman: Under the Red Hood and Superman: Doomsday, and Greg Weisman, who has worked on Gargoyles and Star Wars Rebels, will be returning to the series.

The third season will arrive "soon," but the exact premier date has not yet been revealed. We anticipate it will be released early next year, but who knows at this point. Are you a Young Justice fan? If so, be sure to visit the official website for the new series.
