Zedd has joined HyperX as a global brand ambassador

While it has become commonplace to see esports professionals, esports organisations, and tournament organisers and league bodies making partnership deals with hardware and peripheral manufacturers, it's less common to see mainstream celebrities doing so. Which is what makes today's announcement all the more surprising.

As DJ Zedd has signed a deal with HyperX to see him regarded as one of the company's global brand ambassadors. The deal will also go a step further and see HyperX becoming Zedd's exclusive gaming audio and gaming microphone supplier, and will likewise see the two collaborating on a range of exclusive content and promotional material and offerings.

"HyperX has supported my passion for gaming since we first connected via Twitter, several years ago," said Zedd. "Their products are a major part of my gaming lifestyle and I am grateful for the ongoing support. I'm eager to kick off our collaboration, which dives much deeper than a typical partnership."

HyperX has quite an extensive array of brand ambassadors, including the likes of individuals from the gaming space such as Valkyrae, as well as athletes like Juju Smith-Schuster, Daniil Medvedev, Dele Alli, and more.

There's no mention of any financials or length, but we are told that a line of limited-edition headsets and peripherals will be made as part of it.
